Complaint from William T.Brown. 420 Mott Street. Disorderly Conduct of Boys. Communication was received from William T.Brown, 420 Mott street, complaining of the disorderly conduct, etc., of boys in the neighborhood of his residence. It was ordered that the said communication be referred to the Marshal for his attention. Complaint of S.E.Nicholson. State Superintendent Anti-Saloon League. An additional report was received from the Deputy Marshal with respect to the complaint preferred by the Anti-Saloon League, with reference to the action of Captain of Detectives Fumphrey and Detective Hammersla testifying for the defense in a case of violation of liquor law at Belair, as referred to in the proceedings of September 22, 26, October 1 and 3, 1902, said report containing answers made by Captain Pumphrey and Detective Hammersla to the inquiries propounded by the Anti-Saloon League. The Board, considering the answers to interrogatories as referred to insufficient, ordered that the matter be turned over to the Secretary of the Board, and that he make further investigation into the subject and submit report of said investigation. Appointment of Sergeant. To fill the vacancy in the Police Force, caused by the appointment of Sergeant William M.Atkinson, a Detective, as referred to in the proceedings of October 3,1902, the Board, by the vote,as shown hereunder, appointed Eligible Michael J.Hughes, a sergeant; said appointment to take effect after October 8,1902.
