| 36 Complaint of Gambling - Gay & Hoffman Streets. Unsigned communication v/as received complaining of gambling in violation of law at Gay & Hoffman streets. It was ordered that the said communication be referred to the Marshal for his attention. Application for Permit For the Sale of Liquor. The Secretary submitted application of the Faultless Pleasure Club for permit, in favor of A.B. Springer, 19 W.Pratt St., to sell liquor at a ball proposed to be given by the said club, November 10,1902. In view of report from Captain Henry with respect to the said Springer it was ordered that the permit requested in his favor be refused. The receipts were as follows:- From Fines & Costs for October 10------$53.35 Sale of Liquor Permits---------------- 25.00 Sale of Entertainment Permits----------85.00 $163.35 Fines & Costs, October 11--------------83.85 Fines & Costs, October 12--------------90.35 Fines on officers---------------------40.00 Deduction of 2% from pay of members----603.52 Keep of horse, E.D.------------------- .25 $817.97 The Board adjourned at 11.05 o'clock A.M., Secretary. _Baltimore, Wednesday, October 15, 1902._ Board met; present, Messrs Upshur, Morris & Fowler.
