| OGC 53 In view of the rumor that slot machines and other forms of gambling are again in operation, I would respectfully recommend that the following order be issued to the force at this time:- 'It being current by rumor that slot machines are again being put in operation at several places throughout the City, the attention of all officers is called.to order of July 19th., 1902. Officers are hereby cautioned that in case any slot machine, or any other form of gambling, is found on their post the Sergeant and officer patroling the post on which such slot machine or gambling is found will be held solely responsible for such violation. Captains will impress upon all members of their respective districts the necessity of looking up and making arrests for all such violations where the sarae are found to be in operation.* Very respectfully, THOMAS F.
