The recommendation, as above, was approved and repairs suggested ordered by the following vote:- Vote:- President Upshur, Yea, Commissioner Morris, Yea, Commissioner Fowler, Yea. Recommendation filed as Exhibit No. 847. Boxing Exhibition. Permit. Upon the recommendation of the Marshal it was ordered that permit be granted the Eureka Athletic Club to hold Sparring Exhibition, Germania Llaennerchor Hall, Friday evening November 7, 1902, and the Secretary was directed to charge for said permit the sum of s?50.00 Application for Permit. Application was received from the Eureka Athletic Club for permit to hold Sparring Exhibition, Germania Llaennerchor Hall, Friday night, November 14, 1902. It was ordered that the said application be referred to the Marshal for investigation and recommendation. Application from George Wentz For Increased Pay as a Member of the Department on Retired List. Application was received from George Wentz, formerly Clerk to the Marshal and now on the retired list, for increase of pay from one-third to one-half amount received by him at the time of his retirement, May 1S88, or from ^36.11 per month to §54.17 per month. The Board, by the vote as shown hereunder, granted increase, as above asked for by the said George Wentz, formerly Clerk to the Marshal; said increase to take effect from November 1,1902.
