| 100 Donation. Upon the recommendation of Captain of Detectives, approved by the Marshal, it was ordered that Detective Joseph E.Coughlin "be permitted to retain ten dollars donated to him by Detective Flatters, Washington, D.C., for the arrest of Fayette S.Haskel, deserter from the United States Army. Assignment of Magistrate. To Secretary reported to the Board that on Saturday, November 8, 1902, Charles Y/.Heuisler, Magistrate for Juvenile Causes, notified the Department that he desired to be absent from his duties on account of leave from 3 P.M., November 8, until 8 A.M., December 1,1902, and that, he, the Secretary, assigned Police Justice J.McKenny V/hite to sit in the Juvenile Court in the place of Judge Heuisler; and that he assigned Justice William Reed to sit at the Northern District Station-house in the place of Justice J.McKenny White, until relieved. The action of the Secretary in the assignments of Magistrates, as above, was approved. Repairs - Northern District. Upon the recommendation of the Deputy Marshal, approved by the Marshal, it was ordered by the following vote that a new tank be placed in the toilet room on the first floor of Northern District Station-house, at the cost of from ten to twelve dollars. The vote upon the repairs to Northern Station-house, as above, was;- Commissioner Morris, Yea, Commissioner Fowler, Yea. Recommendation filed, as Exhibit No. 853.
