140 Donation. Upon the recommendation of the Marshal it was ordered that Detective T.B.Hall and Clerk to Marshal John Swikert, Jr., be pernitted to retain thirty-two dollars donated to them by the Baltimore Sun, Herald, American, Hews, German Correspondent, V/es-tern Union Telegraph Co. Postal Telegraph Co., and Chesapeake & Potomac Telephone Co., for reading election returns, Tuesday night November 4,1902. Leave of Absence. Extension of Time. Recommendation, as follows, was received from the Marshal, which was approved and instructions ordered to be issued in accordance therewith:- "November 27th.,1902. To The Honorable, The Board of Police Commissioners. Gentlemen:- In view of a great many officers of the Department not having availed themselves of leave of absence to which they are entitled, owing to registration, election, etc., I would respectfully recommend that the time within which to take leave of absence be extended to December 20th., 1902. Very respectfully, THOMAS P. FARHAH, Marshal." Boxing Exhibitions. Applications for Permits. Application was received from the Knickerbocker Athletic Club for permit to hold Sparring contest at Germania Maenner-chor Hall, night of December 9,1902. It was ordered that the said application be referred to the Marshal for investigation and recommendation.
