Officer William A.Parker, N.W.District, Officer William E.Rider, do Officer James E.Abbott, do Officer Moritz Friedman, do Officer Thomas J.Collins, S.W.District, Officer Joseph F.Lurz, do Officer Henry T.Jackson, do Officer William F.Murphy. Western District, was fined $2. for having failed to attend School of Instructions December 1, 1902. Charges Maryland Anti-Saloon League, vs. Detactive Harry Hammersla, Western District. In the matter of charges, as below, preferred by the Maryland Anti-Saloon League against Detective Harry Hammersla, Western District, the following communication was received:- "Baltimore, December 2, 1902. Josiah Kinsey, Esq. , Secretary to Board of Police Commissioners. Dear Sir:- I am in receipt of your communication in regard to the case against Detective Hammersla. In view of the decision in the Fumphrey case the Maryland Anti-Saloon League does not desire a trial of Hammersla before the Board of Police Commissioners. Respectfully, MORRIS A. SOPER, Solicitor for Maryland Anti-Saloon League." In view of the communication, as above, the Board decided to drop the matter of charges preferred by the said League against Detective Hammersla.
