| Leave of Absence without Fay. Upon the recommendation of the Marshal it was ordered that Officer Timothy Hughes, Western District, be granted leave of absence, without pay, December 10,1902. It was reported to the Board that Sergeant Cornelius J.Carey had applied for leave of absence two days, December 8 and 9, without pay, on account of the death of his mother, and that the Marshal had granted said application in the absence of the Board. The action of the Marshal in granting leave of absence to Sergeant Carey, as above, was approved. Repairs - Southern District. Painting. It was ordered by the vote as shown below that the walls, ceiling, wood work, etc., Southern District Station-hou3e, be painted, in accordance with proposition submitted by George J.Roche & Son., under date of December 5, 1902, for the sum of one hundred and ninety-four ($194) dollars; and that the said work be given to George J.Roche & Son. The vote upon the painting of Southern District Station-house, as above, was as follows:- President Upshur.....Yea, Commissioner Morris..Yea, Commissioner Fowler..Yea. (See proposition of George J.Roche & Son., filed in Bids & Proposals). Wrestling Match. Application was received from Charles J.Weiss, 418 robert street, for permit to hold Wrestling Match at Germania Maennerchor Hall, Friday evening, December 12,1902. It was ordered that the said application be referred to the Marshal for investigation and recommendation. Donation. Upon the recommendation of Captain of Detectives, approved by the Marshal, it was ordered that Detectives John H.Kratz and James Dick be per. |
