OFFICE OF THE BOARD OF POLICE COMMISSIONERS. Baltimoref Wednesday,January 7,1902. Board met; present,Messrs Morris and Fowler. The minutes of the previous meeting, January 5th,1903, were read, approved and adopted. Trial. Officer Timothy Hughes. Northeastern District,reported for having failed to report for duty 7 P.M., January 5th,1903,—twenty five minutes late,— was excused. Retirement of Officer Edwin T. Sheppard. A report was received from the Police Physicians of their examination of Officer Edwin T.Sheppard, Southwestern District, held in pursuance of the Board's direction as referred to in the proceedings of January 2nd,1903; said report stating that Officer Sheppard is permanently incapacitated for active police duty by reason of physical disability. It was therefore ordered that Officer Edwin T. Sheppard be retired on one half pay;said retirement to date from and after January 8th,1903. The vote upon the retirement of Officer Edwin T. Sheppard, as above, was President Mbrril..........Yea, Commissioner .............Yea. (Officer Sheppard was appointed on the force,January 8th,1883.) Transfers. Upon the recommendation of Captain John A. G. Shultz, Northwestern District, approved by the T'arshal, it was ordered that the following transfers be made to take effect at once,viz;- That Officer James H. Hardesty be transferred from B. to A. Division, vice Stack transferred to House duty, and that Officer Clinton Reiser be transferred from B. to C. Division,vice Carrick,
