The minutes of the previous meeting, January 7, 1903, were read^ approved and adopted. Assignment of Magistrate. Charles W. Heuisler, Magistrate for Juvenile Causes, having notified the Board that he desired to be absent from his duties January 10,1903, Police Justice J. McKenny White, Northern District, was assigned to sit in the place of Judge Heuisler in the Juvenile Court on that date, and additional Justice Neilson Poe, Jr., was assigned to sit at the Northern District, January 10, 1903, in the place of Justice White, transferred for that day to the Juvenile Court, as above. Request for Information. From Appeal Tax Court. A communication, as follows, was received from the Appeal Tax Court, and ordered referred to the Marshal to secure the information desired.- "Baltimore, I'd., January 8,1903. George M. Upshur, Esq., President. Police Board, Baltimore. Dear Sin-Please let this Sub-Department have at your earliest convenience the record of your department, containing the date when the house of Mr. Lleyellyn Miller No. 149 V.'.Lanvale street was closed temporarily for the summer, and also the name of the officer who made the report when said house was closed. Particularly let us know if the notice that the house was closed temporarily for the summer of 1902 was by letter or in any other way and where key could be found. It is important that we should have as complete a report from you as you can possibly give for the use of this Sub-Department officially. Yours very truly, CONWAY W. SAMS, President." |
