A communication,as follows, was received and ordered referred to Marshal for his attention with instructions to have Captain Fullem,of Westerm District, detail his District Detective and other officers to remedy the trouble;- Baltimore,January 31,1903. To The Honorable Police Commissioners of Baltimore. Dear Sirs:- Kost respectfully call your attention to the fakirs doing business on the kerb;often selling goods for which the merchants on this street have to pay license and taxes,which is unjust and unfair to us. Besides,they gather crowds,obstruct the pavements and create much excitement at times. If you will kindly remedy this matter you will greatly oblige many business men on this street and Yours respectfully, W.H.Cullimore,Jr. Begging on the Streets.
