| nOGC 271 mony would no doubt have gone a great way to clear me. The cause of ray dismissal worries me considerably and at times causes me quite an amount of annoyance from others, in fact I find it a great handicap to one in my position. The substance of the case is as follows:- On November 6, 1902, I was home on sick leave, suffering with a fistula, when Dr. Pinkney L. Davis, Police Physician, called to see me officially, he reported me as under the influence of liquor and had me summoned before you. Knowing the charges to be a great unintentional error upon the part of Dr. Davis, I am almost ashamed to say, that I did not fully realize the enormity of the charge until too late. Now, Mr. President and Gentlemen of the Board, if you can bring yourselves to see your way clear to give me another hearing, you will be doing a graat act of justice towards me. Hoping that some action may be taken in my case, I am, Your obedient servant, Ex-Officer Henry Fischer, S.W. District. 106 S. Carey street." Complaint from. F.P.R.Bohager, 227 Concord street. A communication, as follows, was received, and ordered referred to the Marshal for investigation, report and recommendation:- "Baltimore, January 31, 1903. Board of Police Commissioners of Baltimore City. Gentlemen:- My place of business was broken open (227 Concord st), Thursday night and a lot of metal stolen. Now there is an electric light directly on my corner. The party of parties broke open my front door and left same open and I found it Friday morning, and it is strange that with a bright electric light on the corner, that the door should remain open undiscovered, when I thought it was the duty of the officer to try the door every hour. I am, Very respectfully, F. P. R. BOHAGER." Repairs Eastern District Station-house. Upon the requisition of Captain Thomas B. McGee, Eastern District, recommended by the Deputy Marshal and approved by the Marshal, it was ordered, by the vote as shown hereunder, that the following repairs be made to the Eastern District Station-house, viz:- 1 new light in Assembly Room of 1st. Floor. Alter centre light. 2 lights over the desk and light in Captain's office. New four-light Chandelier in Assembly Room on 2nd. floor. New light in Captain's room on 2nd.
