| 9Q9 transferred from C. to A. Division. Upon the recommendation of the Lieutenant of Mounted Police, approved by the Marshal, it was ordered that the following transfers be made to take effect at once, viz:- Sergeant John J. Dunn from Bicycle to Mounted Service, Officer James J. Glancey from Bicycle to Mounted Service, Officer John F. Linn from street duty to Mounted Service, Officer John H. Warner from street duty to Mounted Service. Upon the recommendation of Captain Bernard J. Ward, approved by the Marshal, it was ordered that the following transfers be made at the Northern District, to take effect at once, viz:- That Officer William W. Story and Lawrence J. Bavans be transferred from the Bicycle Service to B.Division afoot. Detective Thoma3 A.Berney. Complaint Against. In the matter of complaint made against Detective Thomas A. Berney of the Southern District, as referred to in the proceedings of February 4,1903, a report, as follows, was received from the Marshal, which was read and held over. February 10th., 1903. To The Honorable, The Board of Police Commissioners. Gentlemen;- Referring to the attached communication with respect to Detective Thomas A. Berney, Southern District. I had before me and interviewed the following officers: George T. Williams, Thomas Williams, Thomas E. Williams and James Bracken, all of whom deny ever having seen Detective Berney under the influence of liquor, or having been a party, or witness, to any of the alleged doings of Detective Berney as referred to in the attached communication. In this connection I beg also to attach, herewith, statements of Captain George G. Henry, Lieutenant H. P. Morhiser, Squire William J. Robertson and Officer James Bracken. After reviewing these statements I beg, respectfully, to recommend that Detective Berney be cited before your Honorable Body and reprimanded for using language unbecoming an officer with respect to a superior officer.
