| 2,93 District, recommendation of the Deputy Marshal, approved by the Marshal, it was ordered by the following vote that the rear door of the patrol house in the Eastern District be altered, so that the patrol wagon may be taken in the yard in the rear of said stable to be washed, instead of on the street, and that said work be given to Joseph Willis. The vote upon the repairs to Eastern District Station-house, as above, was as follows:- Commissioner Morris,.....Yea, Commissioner Powler,.....Yea. (See Exhibit No. 9*3.) Purchase of Saddles, Bridles, Saddle. Housing,Etc. For Mounted Service. Upon the recommendation of the Lieutenant of Mounted Police it was ordered by the vote as shown hereunder, that the following equipments be purchased for account of the Mounted Service. Five (5), Saddles & Bridles complete, $19.50 each from Frederick Schrieber. Thirty,(30), Sheep-skins for pads under saddle housings at £1.25 each, from Frederick Schrieber. Thirty, (30), Saddle Housings at §5.50 each from Lerch Brothers. The vote upon the purchase of Mounted Service Equipments,as above, was:- Commissioner Morris, Yea, Commissioner Fowler, Yea. (See Exhibit No. 946). Horses. Purchase of. Upon the recommendation of the Lieutenant of Mounted Police it was ordered, by the vote as shown hereunder, that there be pur- ¦ chased from Jacob Frederick, one bay horse for the patrol wagon service §175.00, one brown horse for the Mounted Service §150.00, total, §325.00.
