Juvenile Prisoners at Sta-houses. Treatment of. Upon the subject of juvenile prisoners at the Station-houses, as referred to in the proceedings of February 11,1903, a report was received from the Marshal transmitting statements from each of the several police captains, giving the practice observed with respect to feeding juvenile prisoners, etc. Said report of the Marshal, read and ordered filed, see Exh. No.948. In this connection the following was passed:- V/HEREAS, the statements made by the captains, as aforesaid, show that at some of the Station-houses Juvenile prisoners held at the Station-houses over night are not properly supplied with food, and that there is no uniform system in the Department on the subject: It was ordered that hereafter captains shall see to it that all Juvenile Prisoners arrested after the time of the afternoon sitting of the Magistrate, and held over night for presentation to the Juvenile Court, shall be supplied with food, furnished either by the parents or friends of the prisoner or by the Police Department, both in the evening of the day of the arrest and the following morning before presenting to Court. It was also ordered that such Juvenile Prisoners be made, as far as possible, to present a clean appearance at Court. Repairs „to Wagon Lieutenant of Mounted Police. Upon the recommendation of the Lieutenant of Mounted Police it was ordered that repairs be made to the rockaway used by the said lieutenant, in accordance with letter from him under date of February 12th., and filed as Exhibit No. 949.,cost of said repairs Fifty Dollars. The vote upon repairs to rockaway, as above, was:- President Upshur, Yea, Commissioner Morris, Yea, Commissioner Fowler, Yea.
