| cOGC 315 Surveys Ordered. At the request of Officer William W. Story, Northern District, it was ordered that the said officer be examined by the Police Physicians to determine whether or not he is capable of performing active police duty. Upon the report of Police Physician John S. Bishop that Officer Frederick Clause, Central District, is, in his judgment, incapacitated for further police duty, it was ordered that the three Police Physicians examine the said Officer Brederick Clause and report as to whether or not he is capable of performing active police duty. It was also ordered that Officer Daniel Schaub, Central District, now on sick-list, be surveyed by the Police Physicians, with a view of determining if he is incapacitated for active Police Duty. (See Exhibit No. 958). Coal for Poor Distribution of «- Charity Organization Society. A communication, as follows, was received from the Charity Organization Society, which communication together with the statement therein referred to, filed as Exhibit No. 959. "Baltimore, February 19,1903. To The Board of Police Commissioners. Gentlemen:- Permit me to hand you herewith a statement showing that in accordance with the plan submitted to your Honorable Board under date of January 24th., and subsequently accepted by you, the proposed distribution of 18-3/4 tons of coal to the destitute has been carried to a successful completion. Under this plan seventy-five quarter ton lots of hard coal have been distributed to as many fa-nilies, namely, twenty-five each to families whose names have been furnished by the following private charities: St. Vincent de Paul Society.............25 Hebrew Benevolent Society...............25 Association for the Improvement of the Condition of the Poor..............25 Total.........................75. Enclosed you will find a statement to the above effect, and a charge of $125. understood to be the amount contributed to your Board by the Maryland Pilot's Association, §100. and by Mr. Preston, $25.
