| ^Purchase of Supplies, Eastern District. Upon the recommendation of Captain Thomas B. KcGee, Eastern District, the recommendation of the Deputy Marshal, approved by the Marshal, it was ordered, by the following vote, that supplies as follows, be purchased for the Eastern District Station-house, viz:- 1 Mattrass 1 Table, 4 Chairs, 2 Curtains, Carpet, Sheets, Bolster, Pillow, Bolster Cases Bed spreads and Double blankets. The vote upon the purchase of supplies, as above, was:- President Upshur.....Yea, Commissioner Fowler..Yea. (See Exhibit No.966). Saloon of O'Brien. S.Paca Street. Unsigned communication was received alleging that the liquor law is violated at the Saloon of O'Brien, 24 S. Paca street. It was ordered that the said complaint be referred to the Marshal for his attention. Requisition. Requisition No. 645 was drawn on the Mayor & City Council for §38,011.47, to pay the salaries of the Secretary, Assistant to Secretary, Counsel and three Police Physicians for the month of February 1903; to pay the salaries of the Marshal and Deputy Marshal from February 16th. to 28th.,1S03; to pay the Police Force for two weeks from February 12th. to February 25th. 1903, and sundry bills. Total for Salaries.........£36,335.39 Expenses......... 1,656.08 ( See Requisition Copy-book). |
