CHARGE:-"Neglect of duty in leaving his bailiwick with hi 3 squad ahead of time on Monday evening, February 23,1903, and Tuesday evening February 24,1903." Dismissal. Officer Alfred C. Vermillion, Northern District, was tried upon the following charge preferred by Captain Bernard J. Ward, found guilty of said charges, and by the vote as shown hereunder dismissed from the force: CHARGES:-"Not properly patroling his post from2.l0 to 3.12 A.M., February 28,1903. Being in the house 411 W. 28th. Street from 2.10 to 3.12 A.M. on other than police business February 28,1903." The vote upon the dismissal of Officer Alfred C. Vermillion, found guilty of charges as above, was:- President Upshur....Yea, Commissioner I'orris, Yea, Commissioner Fowler,Yea. Transfers. Upon the recommendation of the Lieutenant of Mounted Police, approved by the Marshal, it was ordered that the following transfers be made, to take effect at once, viz:- That Mounted Officer Charles A. Kahler. Northeastern District, be transferred from mounted to street duty, That Officer Thomas J. Donohue, Substitute Wagon man from B.Division, Northeastern District to Mounted duty same district, That Officer John H. Ohle, B.Division, Northeastern District, be assigned as Substitute Wagon man, vice Donohue. Compla int George S. Kirkley, 119 N.Greene St. In the matter of complaint preferred by George S. Kirkley, 119 N. Greene street, against officers of the Central District, as referred to in the proceedings of February 25,1903, a report was received from the Marshal of his investigation into the subject; it appearing from said report that the complaint made by Mr. Kirkley was without foundation, the Board decided to take no further steps in
