cOGC 365 Sergeant Connelly was found guilty of the first specification and fined $10. He was acquitted on the second and third specifications. Assignment of Magistrates. The Secretary reported to the Board that Justice Wm.J.Robertson of the Southern District, notified the Department on March 19,1903, that he desired to be absent from his duties from 8 A.M., March 20,1903, to 8 A.M., March 23,1903, on account of sickness; that he, the Secretary, had assigned Additional Justice Neils on Poe, Jr., to sit at the Southern District in the absence of Justice F.obertson, as aforesaid. The action of the Secretary in assigning Additional Justice Foe to sit at the Southern District Station-house, as mentioned, was approved. The Secretary also reported to the Board that the Department was notified about noon on March 19,1903, that Justice James A. Fschtig,Jr., notified the Department that he desired to be absent from his duties from 3 to 5 P.M., March 19,1903, and from 8 to 10 A.M., March 20,1903, and that he, the Secretary, having been unable to communicate with Additional Justice Poe had assigned Justice Jacob Rab to sit at the Central District Station-house during the absence therefrom of Justice Fechtig, as above mentioned. The action of the Secretary in the assignment of Jacob Rab to sit at the Central District Station-house, as referred to, was approved. The Secretary also reported that Justice Daniel J.Loden, Western District, had in the afternoon of March 19,1903, notified the Department that he desired to be absent from his duties from 3 to 5 P.M., March 19, 1903, and that he, the Secretary, had assigned Justice Antony Demarco, as police justice for the Western District from 3 to 5 P.M., March 19, 1903, and until relieved, in the place of Justice Loden. The action of the Secretary in assigning Justice Demarco to sit at the Western District Station-house, as above, was approved.
