| 378 abstain absolutely from electioneering and political discussion with citizens on the street or elsewhere and with each other, and they must so conduct themselves as to give no ground for accusation of partizanship, and THAT,This order shall apply to members on the retired list as well those in active service. It was ordered that instructions, as per copy,filed as Exhibit No, 994,be issued for the guidance of the police in connection with the primary election to be held in Baltimore City on April 7th,19r3 Elections Order as to sale of liquor on Election day, April 7th. The following order was passed;- Whereas in its judgment the public peace and tranquility require it, the BOARD OF POLICE COI&'IS-SIONERS FOR THE CITY OF BALTIMORE hereby orders the closing,on Election Day,Tuesday, April 7th,1903,of all bar-rooms,bars,drinking houses,liquor shops and all other places where liquor is usually sold in the City of Baltimore, and forbids the selling and furnishing of liquor thereat on said Election Day. It was ordered also that the "arshal be furnished with a copy of this order,and directed to instruct the police force to report,under penalty of dismissal from the force,all who refuse or fail to close as required,or who sell or furnish intoxicating liquor on said election day for presentation to the Grand Jury,together with the names of any persons who nay be found under the influence of liquor on the said election day as witnesses.
