GC 383 understood thoroughly and distinctly that the Board will enforce said rule rigidly in the future. It was also ordered that this order be included in the daily"look-out sheet. Paragraph 101 Rule No. 30 "Ho member of the force,being under charges, shall cause any person,either before trial or judgment, to interfere,personally or by letter,in his behalf with amy member of the Board of Police Commissioners." Gambling Investigation. The Board continued its investigation into the subject of existence of alleged gambling in the City of Baltimore, as referred to in the proceedings of March 20,1903, 23rd, and 25th. The following named appeared before the Board in answer to its summons and were examined by the Board, report of which examination was made stenographic, and will be found, filed as Exhibit No. 998.- Captain Edward Schleigh, Central District, Captain John J. Pullem, Western District. The Secretary was directed to notify Round Sergeants John J. Strott, Lewis Hahn and Joseph McGovern to appear before the Board on Monday, March 30,1903, as well as all the sergeants who work the squads taking in all the alleged gambling places in the Central District. Requisition. Requisition No. 647 was drawn on the Mayor & City Council for #39,483.08, to pay the salaries of the Secretary, Assistant to the Secretary, Counsel to the Board and the three Police Physicians for the month of March 1903; to pay the salaries of the Marshal and Deputy Marshal from March 16 to 31,1903, to pay the police force for two weeks from March 12, to 25,1903 and sundry bills:- Total for Salaries.............#35,919.37 Expenses............. 3,563.71 (See Requisition Copy-book).
