Mr. and Mrs. John Cole Bosley have announced the engagement of their daughter, Miss Gertrude Bosley, to Kinloch Nelson Yellott, son of the Rev. and Mrs. John I. Yellott, of Belair. No date has been set for1 the wedding. Mr. Yellott is a graduate of the Episcopal High School and the University of Virginia. Rev. and Mrs. Yellott are well known in Towson, being a son of the late Major John I. Yellott. MOTORCYCLE RIDER HITS GATE AT RAILROAD CROSSING. Losing control of his motorcycle at Eastern avenue and Eleventh street, John Riggal of Back River, crashed into the Pennsylvania Railroad safety gates at the crossing. He was thrown some . distance. At Bayview Hospital, physicians said he had a broken leg, cuts on the head and probable internal injuries. MARRIED AT RUXTON. Miss Ada W. Schultz, daughter of Mrs. Schultz of the Mount Royal Apartments, Baltimore city,. and Henry B. Koch were married at the Church of the Good Shepherd, Rux-ton, by the Rev. William G. Smith, Jr. Mr. and Mrs. Koch are making their home at the Mount Royal until October. -----------o----------- COCKEYSVILLE CLERGYMAN AND WIFE ANNOUNCE SON'S WEDDING. The Rev. and Mrs. William D. Beall, of the Methodist Episcopal Parsonage at Cockeysville, have announced the marriage of Miss Mary Young, of McKinney, Texas, to their son, Harold Beall. The ceremony was performed last week at McKinney. VErnon 4587 MOTOR TRUCKS NINETEEN SHEEP STOLEN FROM REISTERSTOWN FARM. Nineteen sheep were stolen from the Reisterstown farm of Charles H. Consolvo, proprietor of the Hotel Belvedere, Baltimore City, according to a report. Cecil M. Woodley, a negro caretaker, said he noticed a truck drive through the rear entrance of the farm in the direction of the barnyard, where the animals are housed. Woodley said the animals were housed securely and could not have strayed away. There were 10 ewes and 9 lambs. TOURNAMENT AT GLEN ARM AUGUST 11TH. Towson Post No. 22, American Legion, will hold its annual shore party on .Saturday, July 19, at the private shore of the Mitchell brothers, a short distance from Josenhan's corner, Eastern Avenue and Back River Neck Roads. Every ex-service man in Baltimore county is invited to join the party, which will leave the Court House at 5.30 A. M. -----------o----------- REV. F. R. BAILEY TO OCCUPY PULPIT AT TOWSON M. E. CHURCH. Rev. F. R. Bayley, District Superintendent, will occupy the pulpit at the 11 o'clock service tomorrow (Sunday) at the Towson Methodist Episcopal Church. IN FUTURE TOWSON WILL HAVE PUBLIC CELEBRATION ON "THE FOURTH. Towson will not next year be without a public celebration on the 4th of July. At a meeting held by John Eager Howard Council, Jr. O. U. A. M., a committee was appointed to arrange for one. Other organizations will be asked to co-operate. Alford M. Whittle is chairman of the committee. Howard Flayhart was appointed as chairman of a committee to arrange for the holding of ladies' night by the Council at an early date. -----------o----------- FORMER JUDGE ALLAN McLANE VISITS COUNTY SEAT. Former Judge Allan McLane was a visitor at Towson on Wednesday. He expressed great satisfaction at the nomination of John W. Davis for President. He said that he knew the Democratic candidate, and regards him as being among the most distinguished men of the country, a great lawyer and a brilliant Statesman and orator. -----------o----------- COMMISSIONERS TO TAKE ANNUAL VACATION LAST TWO WEEKS IN AUGUST. The Baltimore County t Commissioners will take their annual vacation during the last two weeks in August. -----------o----------- NEW STORES AT COUNTY SEAT NEARING COMPLETION. The brick store building being erected by Mrs. Annie Urban at the corner of the York Road and Pennsylvania avenue is nearing completion. -----------o----------- METROPOLITAN SANITARY ENGINEER ATTENDS CON-VENTION. Albert E. Waldman, Chief Engineer of the Baltimore County Sanitary District is in New York City, where he is attending the convention of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers. Mr. Waldman is a member of the finance committee of the Society. -----------o----------- TRENTON MAN VISITS KINGSVILLE. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Gorsuch, of Kingsville, had as their recent guest Mr. Daniel Black, of Trenton, N. J. TEXAN AVEDS ROCKS GIRL AFTER 3-AVEEK COURTSHIP. Culminating a romance which began three weeks ago in Baltimore city, Miss Maud Denbow, of Rocks, and Charles Gohman, of Texas, a marine, were married at Ellicott City. The couple had a mutual friend in Mrs. Dolly Duvall, 23 East Mount Vernon Place, who accompanied them to Ellicott City to witness the ceremony. Arriving at Ellicott City the party went to a hotel and asked where they could procure a marriage license. The court clerk was found and issued the necessary paper. Then the hunt for a minister was on. At the parsonage they were informed that he was not around. A search finally revealed him in the" church. Mr. Gohman is stationed at present at Sounders Range, but expects to be discharged from the service soon. In the meantime Mrs. Gohman will make her home with Mrs. Duvall. VISITS COUNTY SEAT RELATIVES Howard Artel and wife, who were recently married, visited the parents of the former, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Artel, of Towson. TOAVSON WOMAN VISITING IN HARFORD COUNTY. Mrs. Charles B. Chapman, of Towson, is visiting her daughter in Harford county. -----------o----------- HOME MISSIONARY AUXILIARY HOLDS MEETING. Last night (Friday) the Home Missionary Auxiliary of Long Green Circuit held a meeting in connection with the Ladies' Aid Society of Waugh M. E. Church. NORMAL SCHOOL SUMMER SESSION OPEN. The summer session at the Mary-laand State Normal School opened Monday at Towson to continue until August 13. A feature of this summer's instruction will be a special lecture course. The lectures will be given by Dr. H. B. Wilson, Superintendent of Public Schools of Berkeley, Cal. They are open to the public. Thirty courses will, be given during the summer. These will include a course in the organization of parent-teacher associations, which will be held under the auspices of the Federation of Parent-Teacher Associations in Maryland.
