Mr. S. Thomas Brown, for half a century an employee of Spring Grove State Hospital, was tendered ar dinner by the Board of Managers in honor of his golden jubilee.

On the charge of assaulting Ernest Knabe, Vernon Armstrong, of Thistle, was held in $500 bail for the action of the Juvenile Court.

WAR VETERAN FOUND AT FOOT ' OF EMBANKMENT.
Found seriously ill along the tracks of the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad at Grays, J. H. Yorkburg, died while being taken for medical attention.
Little is. known of the dead man, who was about 33 years old. He registered last Saturday at the Howard House, Ellicott City, and gave his occupation as a clerk.
Yorkburg said he was a veteran of the World War and had been wounded in France.
The man was found lying at the foot of an embankment by Thomas Fredericks and Charles Cumberland.

GLEE CLUB AND ORCHESTRA CONCERT HELD.
The annual Glee Club and Orchestra concert of the Maryland State Normal School was given in the auditorium last night (Friday). The program consisted of selections by the Glee Club, vocal solos, duets and orchestra numbers.

FOUNDER'S DAY CELEBRATED
AT SHEPPARD-PRATT
HOSPITAL.
Founder's Day was celebrated recently at the Sheppard-Pratt Hospital, Towson.
Addresses were delivered by Dr. Ross McC. Chapman, the present superintendent, and Dr. Edward N. Brush, the first superintendent of the institution.
The commencement exercises of the school for nurses at the Hospital will be held on J/ne 11. There will be seven graduates.

The Men's Club of St. Timothy's P. E. Church, Catonsville, heard an address by Philip S. Morgan, who recently returned from Europe.

Warden Sweezey of "The Pen" has turned two convicts loose to search for Hart up in the Blue Ridge Mountains, and "Noisy" thinks it would have been a dandy vacation for him—far away from uniformed guards and steel barred windows.

HENRY S. MAISEL SUCCUMBS SUDDENLY.
Henry S. Maisel, brother of Fritz Maisel, of the Baltimore Orioles, and of George Maisel, of the Toronto baseball club, died suddenly while at work near his home in Catonsville.
Mr. Maisel was unmarried and was 46 years old.
