A Fashionable Disease
CUBED WITHOUT ANY USE WHATEVER OF
MERCURY.
Notwithstanding the many remedies
for curing and removing the Venerial disease
from the constitution, and without the use of
Mercury, which have been frequently pretend-
ed, and almost as often proved ineffectual;
although the honorable faculty, Docti Mediae,
have united most generally in declaring no re-
medy to e\ist, in their belief, capable of remov-
ing- the Venerial m ail cases •auhbut the use
of Mercury, which they do not hesitate to pro-
nounce extretnely pernicious, and not untre-
qtiently making the most desperate ravages on
the whole constitution, and rendering the state
of health ever afterward wretched and misera-
ble ; yet, notwithstanding ail these objections
heaped together, the writer, who has no other
interest in the business thaw such as every well
disposed citizen ought to have, and leclforthe
happiness and well being of his fellow crea-
tures, does most confidently give assurance,
that lie is as positive that there is another remedy,
perfectly mild and easy in it;: operation, and
which will effectually remove the disorder
in all cases, and to all intents and purp ises, as
tiiat Mercury will effect the same, biitfrequent-
ly to the great injury of the person's future
health and htrpp'mess.
The writer, knowing the disadvantages un-
der which a medicinal specific labors, which
makes its appearance (as it were) in Arcane-,
in. -takes to make this importai t affair known
in i. half of the proprietors ; and he will ne-
glect no opportunity or justifiable means of
making this business as generally known and
as extensively useful as possible—the old
fashionable, mechanical/ precise, and lingering
mode of proceeding, in similar matters to the
contrary, notwithstanding. Therefore, he ear-
nestly requests those who may need assistance
in I ,: complaint above alluded to, that they
make seasonable application in order to obtain
a ;i;n.-U relief— Says a _<__ and learnedgKWtle-
man of this country—" Except the kiue pox, (to
lbs is similar and sqnal) a discovery so
ail'---ami: and so useful to mankind, has not
been made in physics during the last century."
" It has been more than seventy and ween
times tried in America, within two years past,

to full satisfaction." The specific, which is a
pleasant cordials is)vec'd and used without any
change in diet or mode f living, and with the
same inattention tr.ia a. glass of wine is drank.
It is offered, lor the first time, torthe benefitof
thepeople'n I his place. Although the particular
province of this useful specific is the Venerial,
yet, as it effects this point by purifying the
blood and cleansing the system, it consequent-
ly has great power in removing all those com.
plaints which arise from impurity of the blood
It will extract the mercury from the blood of
