Tib- batts, from Demerara, bound to Boston, who took them on board, and treated them with the greatest humanity. The commissioners appointed by the res- pective states of New-York and New Jersey to ascertain the boundary line between tha two states, after being in session at New- ark about nine days, have separated with- out coming to any determination but to dis- agree. The commissioners of New-Jersey presented a formal written claim to Staten- Island —to one half of the river at the Nar- rows—to Ellis's and Bedlow's-Ialand and to one half of the river as far as New-Jersey extends along its shores ! This is quite as much of modesty as we could well expect from NewJersey. It is hardly necessary to observe that our commissioiiers decided upon an adjournment when this trijling claim was offered.
